This beautiful 1956 Jaguar XK140 with its incredible restoration to achieve its authenticity, is a truly eye capturing and unique classic time machine. The car has been carefully restored by the very talented engineers at Platinum Classics/Concours Classics who are a top tier car restorer company in the classic automobiles industry. The car was brought and restored in Florida, USA by the current owner who has come to us at Historic Automobiles to find it a new home. It was restored to its originality with perfection and the engineers have mastered the very same look both internally and externally of exactly how it would have left the factory back in 1956. When the Jaguar XK140 was originally built, it was fitted with a 3.4L straight six and a double over head camshaft which is exactly what it still has today. Whilst undergoing its restoration, it required very little metal work even after being striped back to the bare metal. As the owner of the Jaguar wanted it to stay as authentic as possible the car still uses its original keys which is an incredibly rare and lovely addition to the car. The Jaguar also still holds its original Chassis Number (S812699) from approximately July of 1956 Production, Engine number G8625 8S which adds to the fact that it is unquestionably authentic in every way.
The Jaguar XK140 has recently visited us at Historic Automobiles where it has had a new radiator refresh and a new electric fan. Whilst undergoing the work our engineers have also given the car a thorough inspection to confirm that it is in perfect running order ready for its next journey.

With our knowledge we know that the Jaguar XK140 is a specifically designed road car for relaxing road trips but also for exciting adrenaline filled racing too. We were thrilled to find out that a Jaguar XK140 featured at Le Mans 24hr in 1956, a prestigious well known race event in France where it saw a very close to top ten finish. Where privately entered in to the 24hr race where it was driven by the famous Roger Walshaw and Peter Bolton.
